Fruit consumption - From a 24h diet recall
According to a 24-hour diet recall in Sri Lanka, the majority of elderly people have consumed Banana within the 24h time period and that is 64.0% of the total respondents. While 33.6% of people have consumed Mango 21.6% people have consumed Papaya which were 2nd and 3rd most consumed fruits respectively. Other fruits such as Apple, Orange, Pineapple, Bael fruit, Wood apple, Passion fruit, Pomegranate, Naminam, Soursop, Rambutan, Dates, Guava, and Nelli were consumed by smaller percentages of the total which ranging from 0.4% to 3.2%. Furthermore, 13.2% of the total respondents reported no fruit consumption during the 24-hour recall period.
